Amanda Bader, MD

Resident Physician, Department of Surgery, Perelman School of Medicine

Amanda Bader, MD is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and a general surgery resident in the Department of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She has completed three clinical years of residency and just started her second year of academic inquiry before she goes back to clinical residency in July 2024. Her research interests include hepatobiliary and endocrine surgery, and her current research projects surround decision making in surgery, creating prehabilitation programs for cancer patients undergoing surgery, and the study of neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas.

Dr. Bader received her BA in Biological Basis of Behavior and Health Care Management from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her MD from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Society as well as Gold Humanism Honors Society. She is currently pursing a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania, which will be completed in Summer 2024.
