Tal Cantor

Tal Cantor, MD, MScPH, is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and a second-year Gynecologic Oncology fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include cancer genetics and quality improvement initiatives aimed at expanding access to both germline and somatic genetic testing for gynecologic malignancies, specifically ovarian cancer, with a particular interest in point-of-care testing.

Tal earned a BSc in Honors Environmental Sciences and an MSc in Public Health from McGill University, where she focused on environmental health and healthcare policy. Prior to medical training, she worked in health policy at the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization. She received her medical degree from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. She will be spending her upcoming research year in Dr. Drapkin’s laboratory investigating early interception strategies for ovarian cancer.
