Meagan Hume, MDP

Innovation Manager, Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation

Meagan Hume, MDP, is an Innovation Manager for the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) at the Abramson Cancer Center. Ms. Hume manages innovation initiatives focused on transforming cancer care.

 

Ms. Hume previously managed a health access program for refugees at HIAS Pennsylvania, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to serving low-income immigrants in Southeastern Pennsylvania. There, she worked closely with other nonprofits, community-based organizations, hospital systems, and health departments to ensure medical care for refugees, including serving as Chair of the Immigration Subcommittee for the Office of Health Equity with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Ms. Hume’s prior experience spans the nonprofit, higher education, and private sectors. She is a proud alumna of AmeriCorps.

 

Ms. Hume received her bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from Bryn Mawr College and her master’s in sustainable international development from the University of Minnesota. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in public health from the University of Pennsylvania.
