Jie Deng, PhD, RN, OCN, FAAN is an Innovation Faculty Member at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I), Professor of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania, Faculty Director of the Laboratory of Innovative & Translational Nursing Research, and Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for Health Economics (LDI). Her research focuses on long-term cancer survivorship, lymphedema management strategies, self-management in cancer survivors, and health care delivery.

Prior to her current roles, Dr. Deng earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Peking University before earning her PhD at Vanderbilt University. A Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, she is one of the leading scholarly experts nationally and internationally in the area of head and neck lymphedema research.
