Haley Newman, MD, MSCE is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation and an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also an attending physician in the Division of Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She graduated from University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her Pediatrics Residency and Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at CHOP. During Fellowship, Dr. Newman simultaneously earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Dr. Newman’s research is focused on examining the influence of genetic ancestry on disease biology and survival outcomes in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She has received an award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is supported by the Abramson Cancer Center K12. Her clinical focus is on pediatric hematologic malignancies and cancer predisposition syndromes.
