Eva Berlin

Eva Berlin, MD is an Innovation Faculty member at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Berlin’s clinical practice includes the management of breast cancer and low-dose radiation for osteoarthritis.
Dr. Berlin’s research interests include radiation-associated cardiovascular toxicity, the implementation of artificial intelligence in radiation oncology workflows, and low-dose radiotherapy for osteoarthritis. As a member of the Thalheimer Center for Cardio-Oncology, she studies the cardiovascular effects of breast radiotherapy, with a focus on reducing radiation exposure to the heart and improving cardiovascular outcomes. She leads research evaluating artificial intelligence-assisted radiation planning tools designed to improve the efficiency, quality, and accessibility of radiotherapy. In parallel, she studies the effects of low-dose radiotherapy for osteoarthritis, with a particular interest in the management of endocrine therapy-associated arthralgias in patients with breast cancer.
Dr. Berlin earned her MD with Distinction in Research from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a BA in Global Studies and French from Brandeis University. She treats patients at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
