Stefan Barta, MD, MS is an Innovation Faculty member at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I), Associate Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, and the Director of the T-Cell Lymphoma Program at the University of Pennsylvania. His research and clinical expertise lies in diagnosing, managing, and treating lymphoma with a particular focus on identifying biomarkers and new therapeutic targets to improve outcomes for T-cell lymphomas, cutaneous lymphomas, and HIV related lymphomas.
Prior to his current roles, Dr. Barta earned his medical degree at Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University and a Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Amongst other commitments, Dr. Barta also serves as the Executive Officer of the NCI-sponsored AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC), and represents the Abramson Cancer Center at the NCCN panels for T-Cell Lymphoma and Primary Cutaneous Lymphomas.
