Rita Abigail (Abby) Sartor

Rita Abigail (Abby) Sartor, MD is an Innovation Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and second year fellow in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research is focused on understanding how state-to-state variations in Medicaid coverage affects access to diagnostics and novel therapeutics in women with gynecologic cancers. Her experience and training inform her interest in assessing how policies shape access to care and cancer outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Abby received her BA in Politics from New York University and her MD from Tulane University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the University of Pennsylvania, she completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital. She is currently completing a Master of Science in Health Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania.
