Nancy Hodgson, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Claire M. Fagin Professor of Nursing Leadership and Department Chair in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.  For the past 25 years she has received continuous funding from federal agencies and private foundations to test and translate interventions to improve the lives of cognitively and physically frail adults and their families.  She works collaboratively with clinicians, community agencies, and long-term care organizations in testing and implementing evidence-based palliative interventions and cofounded one of the nation’s first nursing-home based palliative care programs. Dr. Hodgson completed her post-doctoral fellowship at John Hopkins University in Public Health. She also received her PhD and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Widener University. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the Gerontological Society America.
