Julianne Ani, MPH is the Senior Manager for the Center for Cancer & Aging, housed at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I). She is responsible for leading initiatives throughout the Penn system to achieve the Center’s goals, including research, evidence-based care, and training in geriatric and supportive oncology. She also serves as a co-investigator on multi-site geriatric oncology trials.

Prior to joining PC3I, Ms. Ani was the Manager for the Geriatric Oncology Program at Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH), where she partnered with Dr. Ramy Sedhom to build, evaluate, and refine a new program to provide personalized cancer care for older adults. She and Dr. Sedhom received the 2025 ACCC Innovator award in recognition of their work. Ms. Ani also expanded the oncology research infrastructure at PMPH and established a legacy program for patients with advanced cancer and their families.

Ms. Ani has over a decade of experience in research focusing on oncology, aging, palliative care, health psychology, and social determinants of health. She is passionate about health equity and optimizing quality of life and coping among patients and their caregivers.

Ms. Ani earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Muhlenberg College and her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Social & Behavioral Sciences at Temple University.
