Joan Doyle, RN, MSN, MBA

CEO, Penn Medicine at Home

Ms. Doyle’s work as CEO of Penn Medicine at Home has provided PC3I with guidance on new, innovative approaches to cancer care delivery. Ms. Doyle has been instrumental in integrating home healthcare and hospice into the UPHS continuum of care. Ms. Doyle has over 25 years of combined clinical leadership and executive management in the healthcare industry. As an Assistant Dean for Clinical Practice and Course Director for Home Health Care Concepts at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, she has collaborated with the faculty of the nursing and medical schools to test innovative programs and models of care to improve hospital-to-home transitions in care, enhance home healthcare patient outcomes, and reduce hospital readmissions.

 

Doyle began her career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) as a staff nurse, later serving in several management positions. She has been with Penn’s Home Care and Hospice Services since 1992 and assumed her current role in 1999. Doyle earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, and her MBA from Temple University in 1996. The Penn Center for CHWs is housed within Penn Home Care & Hospice Services, under Doyle’s oversight.
