Emily Gleason is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and a medical student at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and Latin American studies.
She researched maternal healthcare systems for displaced indigenous women in Medellín, Colombia as a Fulbright scholar and was an AmeriCorps member at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program before starting medical school. She is excited to pursue residency training in obstetrics and gynecology. Her current research interests surround the equitable and accessible delivery of gynecologic cancer care.
