Christopher Booth, MD, FRCPC, is a Visiting Faculty member at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I), Director of the Division of Cancer Care and Epidemiology at Queen’s Cancer Research Institute (QCRI), Professor of Oncology and Public Health Sciences, and a Medical Oncologist and Health Services Researcher at Queen’s University. Additionally, he is an Advisor to the National Cancer Grid of India, an Honorary Consultant at Pallium India, and a member of the WHO Essential Medicine List Cancer Working Group.
Dr. Booth’s research focuses on access, quality, and value of cancer care in Canada and globally. In his clinical practice he provides care to patients with gastrointestinal cancers. He was Co-Chair of the Canadian Cancer Trials Group CO.21 CHALLENGE trial showing that a structured exercise program following adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer improves survival. Prior to his current roles, Dr. Booth earned his medical degree at Queen’s University and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the University of Toronto, followed by a research fellowship with the Canadian Cancer Trials Group.
