PC3I at the 2024 ASCO Quality Care Symposium

September 26, 2024

The 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Quality Care Symposium brings together oncologists and clinical care teams from around the world to share research and education addressing the quality, safety, and efficiency of cancer care delivery. Taking place September 27-28, 2024 in San Francisco, California, the symposium features 2 presentations and 8 abstracts from Faculty, Fellows, and Staff at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I).

PC3I researchers are dedicated to designing, testing, and scaling innovative solutions to improve patient access to care, increase patient engagement, and promote equitable and efficient cancer care delivery. This year, these strategies include:

  • Testing a communication tool to support shared-decision making in geriatric oncology;
  • Determining efficiency of a financial toxicity screening tool in rural areas; and
  • Improving access to a rapid cancer clinic to provide more timely diagnoses.

Throughout their work, PC3I prioritizes patient-focused intervention strategies to deliver high quality innovative cancer care.
