2025 Justin E. Bekelman Lectureship in Cancer Care Innovation

On Friday, September 26, PC3I and the Abramson Cancer Center hosted the 2nd Annual Justin E. Bekelman Lectureship in Cancer Care Innovation. The event featured a lecture titled “Our National Team of Cancer Fighters” from Dr. Robert Winn, MD, Director of the VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and Professor at the VCU School of Medicine. In his presentation, Dr. Winn discussed the importance of community knowledge, both in real-world and academic settings, and how it can drive some of the most impactful change in cancer care delivery. Additionally, he laid out ways to build relevant and trusted research tools that help translate findings into funding, policy, and institutional change.

In recognition of the impact and leadership of PC3I Founding Director, Justin Bekelman, the Justin E. Bekelman Lectureship in Cancer Care Innovation is made possible thanks to a generous gift from the JED Fund in memory of Dr. David H. and Anne Gerner. This endowed gift supports an annual PC3I event featuring national leaders in cancer care innovation as invited guest lecturers.
