Chelsea Saia, MPH is a Senior Health Data Manager in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. She manages an analytics team focused on providing data extraction, management, and statistical analysis for several cancer screening and care delivery research projects, as well as supporting the advancement of community health data initiatives in the department and across Penn. Additionally, she collaborates with PC3I faculty and staff on projects aimed at testing digital technology strategies to enhance cancer screening and care.

Ms. Saia has over a decade of experience in public health data analytics centered around optimizing cancer screening and health care delivery across both public and private sectors. Her work focuses on the extraction and analysis of electronic health record data, used to construct complex data frameworks vital for answering research questions. Prior to joining Penn, she was a Manager of Real-World Evidence Analytics at a consulting firm and an Epidemiologist at both the Virginia Department of Health and the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center.

Chelsea received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and her Master’s degree in Public Health concentrating in Epidemiology from Eastern Virginia Medical School.
