Timothy Brown, MD, is an Innovation Fellow at Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and a Fellow in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. His current research interests are in the development of novel therapeutics for cancers of the gastrointestinal system, optimizing supportive care for patients with cancer, and improving the delivery of cancer care to patients. He has published research in JAMA Oncology, JCO Oncology Practice, Blood, JCO Precision Oncology, and Supportive Care in Cancer.
Dr. Brown holds a BS in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and an MD from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and was a Chief Resident for the program there. He was a member of the faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center before coming to Penn for fellowship. He will be one of the Chief Fellows for the Fellowship Program for Academic Year 2021-2022 and will be completing a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the Penn Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
