Stephen Miranda, MD

Stephen Miranda, MD is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and a resident physician in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research focuses on advancing neuro-palliative care, implementing care pathways to support shared decision-making, and developing patient-centered quality metrics in neurosurgery.

 

Dr. Miranda is currently a student in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research program at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a member of 2021-2023 cohort of the National Clinician Scholars Program. He previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Serious Illness Care Program at Ariadne Labs, a joint center for health systems innovation at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and his BA from Stanford University.
