Danyal Ahsan

Danyal Ahsan, MD is an Innovation Fellow at the Penn Center for Cancer Care Innovation (PC3I) and currently a resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include health services research focused on population-based identification of individuals with hereditary cancer syndromes, development and implementation of AI-based digital tools for hereditary cancer risk assessment, and Markov-based decision analysis of cancer risk management strategies for affected individuals.

Dr. Ahsan grew up in Pakistan and completed his premedical education at Cornell University’s branch campus in Qatar. He then earned his MD with Honors in Research from Weill Cornell Medicine, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution. His clinical interest is the medical and surgical care for people with gynecologic cancers, with a particular focus on those associated with hereditary cancer syndromes.
