Lisa Schwartz Named Director of PC3I’s Program in AYA Oncology Care Innovation

Lisa Schwartz, PhD has been appointed as the Director of PC3I’s Program in AYA (Adolescent & Young Adult) Oncology Care Innovation. Dr. Schwartz, who joined PC3I as Innovation Faculty in 2021, will lead PC3I’s strategic direction of and provide oversight of programming related to research, collaboration, and implementation efforts to improve outcomes for adolescents and young adults with cancer.

PC3I’s seven programs represent different approaches to addressing the most intractable problems in cancer care delivery. Led by each of our Program Directors, the programs work at the nexus of research and practice to create, test, and scale solutions to transform cancer care delivery.

In addition to her roles at PC3I, Dr. Schwartz is the Wolfson Endowed Chair in Health Services Research and a core faculty member at the Center for Childhood Cancer Research and Clinical Futures (FKA Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), an attending psychologist in the Division of Oncology and the psychologist for the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program at CHOP, and Professor of clinical psychology in Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also the co-Director and co-Founder of CHOP’s Digital and Personalized Health Research Affinity Group of the Research Institute, which provides a forum for educational and networking opportunities to enhance knowledge of digital health and develop potential collaborations both at CHOP and other local institutions.
